Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where on the beach is your class?
A: The public beach class is located on the beach across the Gulick St walkover on Tybee Island, GA. Go to the North Beach parking lot (across from the lighthouse) and as you drive in, Gulick St is the walkover straight ahead on the far right side of the parking lot as you look towards the ocean. If you are having a hard time finding us put the North Beach Grill into your GPS (33 Meddin St.) and you’ll get pretty close!

Q: What level is the class?
A: It is a multilevel class so both beginners are more advanced practitioners are welcome. Beginners can rest whenever it’s appropriate while more advanced yogis can continue to hold poses as long as feels good to you.

Q: Are beginners welcome?
A: Yes! There is usually at least one beginner in every class and beginners are encouraged to attend.

Q: What do I need to bring?
A: Bring a mat or a large beach towel. You may also want sunglasses and water. Keep in mind that you may want to go swimming when class is over so bring whatever you might need!

Q: How much does it cost?
A: The Saturday class on the Beach at Tybee is held at 9AM and is $20 per person and you don't need to sign up in advance - just show up!

Q: What is Integral Yoga?
A: Integral Yoga is a style of yoga that was designed by Swami Satchidananda to incorporate all of the 8 limbs of yoga. It’s a traditional style of yoga where you rest between postures (asanas.)

Q: Do you teach private lessons?
A: Yes! I teach private lessons to individuals, families and groups of all sizes.  I love to do birthday parties, wedding parties, girls getaways & bachelorette parties!

Q: How much are private lessons?
A: It depends on the size of the group. Please text or call (912) 704-7650 for availability and pricing.

Q: Will you do a private lesson in my house or on the beach near my house?
A: Yes – I can teach private classes in your home or vacation home. I can also come to you and teach on the part of the beach that is closest to you.

Q: We are not going to be here on a Saturday, are there other options?
A: I do have classes during the week in Savannah – or I am happy to set up a private class for you.

Q: Can I bring my child to the public class?
A: If your little one is old enough to not be disruptive or can play off to the side independently or wants to take the class – of course they are welcome.

Q: Do you do special sessions for birthdays, wedding parties and bachelorette groups?
